During the smelting process of ferroalloys, a large amount of toxic and harmful exhaust gas, mainly composed of carbon monoxide (CO), is generated by the submerged arc furnace. Applicable enterprises include: silicon manganese alloy factories, chromium iron alloy factories, industrial silicon factories, calcium carbide factories, etc. Taking a silicon manganese alloy enterprise in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia as an example, the enterprise has two 33000kVA fully enclosed submerged arc furnaces, with an annual output of 150000 tons of silicon manganese ferroalloy and a supporting 20MW alloy tail gas generator set, generating over 160 million kWh of electricity annually.
